SDX in Radiation Oncology: Training, Challenges, and Utilization with treatment modalities

This presentation will cover patient selection for utilization of SDX while including training for simulation and treatment related to the equipment used at Penn Medicine. We will discuss how to train patients, the disease sites that the SDX device is used for, and how to care for and assist patients who are having difficulty using the SDX equipment. During the presentation, Alaina and Laura will discuss age-related challenges while utilizing the SDX and the complications that may arise. The process will also cover the initial training for patients through their completion of treatment, including how to achieve the desired results and apply them.
