Deep Inspiratory Breath Hold for GI Cancers and Lymphoma
Deep inspiratory breath hold can be used to optimize radiotherapy for a variety of thoracic treatment sites. This lecture will highlight the specific opportunities for treating mediastinal lymphoms and esophageal tumors. These sites represent anterior targets (mediastinal lymphomas) and posterior mediastinal targets (lower esophageal tumors). Both of these sites may uniquely benefit from breath hold positioning during radiotherapy in both photon and proton clinics.
